O.P.S.E.U. 464 Contract arbitration highlights for April 1, 2011 - March 31, 2014
The arbitration process is complete and arbitrator Christine Schmidt has issued the award. The results are similar to the recent O.N.A. and O.P.S.E.U. central awards. Highlights are presented here.
Term 3 years, April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2014
Wages
Year 1 and Year 2 – Lump Sum Payments
Ranging from $638.00 - $855.00 for full time employees and prorated for part-time and casual employees. Both amounts are to be paid on or before May 17, 2012. (Details to follow)
Year 3 – Wage Adjustment
April 22, 2013: 2.75% increase across the board to all classifications.
Benefits
Early Retiree Benefits
If you retire between the ages of 57and 65 and are in the benefits plan you can opt to stay in the plan and the hospital will contribute 50% of the billed premiums. If you retire before age 57 you can remain in the plan however you pay 100% of the billed premiums.
Premiums
Responsibility Pay will be a fixed rate of $1.40 per hour
